Winners and Losers share the same goals. Winners accomplish them, losers do not.
Goal setting is an incorrect approach to winning. Creating a system that accomplishes your goals is far superior. Build a system that prevents your weaknesses from sabotaging yourself. Create a system that maximizes your strengths.
I divide my overall responsibilities into daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly. I assign myself to all of them and then work my way out of them. I work to hire, or delegate, or create a system that takes me out of the micro (daily, weekly) and allows me to focus on the macro (quarterly, yearly).
I fluctuate in my discipline in adhering to this but 30% adoption is better than 0%. I also benefit from the guilt I feel from not adhering to it. Guilt and shame are great personal motivators.
